In waiting for new Mazda RX-7

Ikuo Maeda, acting chief designer at Mazda, revealed to the publication Autocar, that he and his team are working on a new RX-7. We remind you that the latest generation of the model was discontinued from production in 2002. Currently, designers have only done the initial drawings of a future RX-7 by the management expects the company to decide whether to revive the model. If given the green light to the project, we can expect more next year a prototype sports car. Maeda and his team to the new RX-7, like other generations of the model is equipped with a rotary engine called Renesis 16X, but a new generation. The unit will be all aluminum, much lighter than its predecessor and consumes less fuel, and its output will be between 250 and 300 h.p. If the new Mazda RX-7 appear on the market, it will be 2-door coupe, which will have room for two people.
