Opel will launch crossover and electric car

Over the next five years Opel intends to complement its product range with several new models, including compact crossover, mini car, hybrid and electric car. Said Executive Director of Opel, Nick Reilly, in an interview with Auto Motor and Sport. According to Riley, in the next 2-3 years will be released electric car and hybrids, then they will be introduced compact crossover, which will use the platform to the next generation of the Corsa. Opel prepare and alternate model Agila, which is identical with the Suzuki Splash, but after an alliance between the Japanese company, Volkswagen, Opel by were forced to develop a separate model. Within the strategy will occur two mini cars – one will be practical and would be ideological heir of Agila, and the other will be more sporty and luxurious. Opel’s leadership believes that the updating of existing models and introducing new will not only maintain current market share of the company in Europe by 6.5 percent, but will also help to increase it.
