Fiat 500 Abarth will race in IRC next year
During the tenth round of this year’s championship IRC, held this weekend in San Remo, racing tuner Abarth, which is owned by Fiat, presented a rally version of the model 500. According to the Italian edition La Repubblica, the so-called R3T Abarth 500 will take part in that championship next year and will compete in Group R3T, in which drivers of vehicles must have a volume greater than 1.6-liters. Competitive Fiat 500 Abarth is fitted with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with a power 180 h.p. Garret GT turbo and 1446, which is combined with six-speed transmission with double clutch and limited slip differential. Abarth 500 R3T has also received additional lamps in front, fully adjustable and adaptable to riding style of the individual driver suspension, powerful Brembo brake mechanism and 17-inch wheels OZ.
The interior of the car was removed everything unnecessary, as appeared sport seats, the mandatory safety 6-point roll bar and seat belts for the driver and his navigator. The entire weight of the racing car is 1 080kg.
