On the occasion of 20-year anniversary of MX-5 (Miata), the Japanese company Mazda has developed a special version of the model, which is called Superlight and will debut at the exhibition in Frankfurt. Spiydstar a typical car, and was developed in the European Research Center for Mazda in Germany. Most notable in the Mazda MX-5 Superlight is that it has a very low weight (995kg.) for a car of this class. This is due to extremely light construction of the car, all parts are made of composite materials such as aluminum and carbon. The engine of the Mazda MX-5 is Superlight 1.8-liter four-cylinder with a power 126 h.p. combined with five-speed manual transmission. The car is able to accelerate from 0-100km / h. for 8/9sec while the average cost is 6.3l/100km. The speedster has also received sports exhaust and intake systems Mazdaspeed, powerful deck with 4-stroke thickness and perforated discs, Eibach sport suspension and 17-inch alloy wheels.
In the press release of the Japanese car manufacturer states that currently the company is not planning mass production of the MX-5 Superlight, but as we are convinced before, can never be sure what to expect from Mazda.
