In order to keep pace with global trends, the South Korean company Hyundai also introduced a hybrid model in its product range which will hit the market this year. Sonata Hybrid made its debut exhibition in New York, which opened to visitors on April 2. Sedan will face in direct confrontation with hybrid Ford Fusion, Lexus HS 250h, Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry. The hybrid car is equipped with 2.4-liter gasoline engine with a power 169k.s. and a maximum torque of 211Nm. and with an electric motor supplying additional 40 h.p. Gearbox did a six-speed automatic. Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is weighing just 1290 kg. Which contributes to low average fuel consumption of 6.4l/100km mileage. The car can move in and fully electric mode, if the speed does not exceed 100 km/h. Compared with the standard Sonata, hybrid boasts improved aerodynamics achieved by replacing certain components, new wheels and tires with low rolling resistance.
