Opel Ampera passed the milestone of its development on 23 April when the first pre-production car model year 2012 Ampera left the pre-assembled line at GM plant in Warren, Michigan. Workers on the assembly line will produce more pre-production models Ampera in the coming months. These cars are not for regular sale, but will be used for testing and verification of target production design, and development of the final software and management systems of the car. European and American engineers will use them and harmonize the overall dynamic behavior of the car. Some of the pre Ampera cars will have very short life because it will be used in tests for safety and structural integrity. The electric car Extended autonomous Opel Ampera mileage traveled to 60 km. entirely on electricity stored in lithium-ion rechargeable battery, while a drop in charge of the battery, electric generator driven by an internal combustion engine can extend range to 500 km. Ampera battery is charging through charger onboard, which is included in a standard household electrical power.
