The next generation of Volkswagen Beetle will debut exhibition in Los Angeles in November, and sales will start next year, said the magazine Autocar, citing its sources. Reportedly, the new Volkswagen Beetle will have a longer wheelbase and wider track, but its appearance will be similar to the concept Ragster, presented in 2005. Turtle will probably only be called Beetle, the first generation model, not New Beetle, and will have more powerful and cleaner engines, from those of its predecessor. It is envisaged that the introduction of modifications to be driven by a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with a power 210 h.p. which will be the most powerful serial produced ever. Other conjugation petrol engines are 1.2 and 1.6-liter capacity by 105 and 160 h.p. Diesel units we’ll have working volumes 1.6 and 2.0 liters, generating 105 and 140 h.p. and U.S. new Beetle will be available with 2.5-liter diesel power 170 h.p.
From Autocar also argue that the model will be a hybrid version.
