Czech company Skoda has decided to enter a whole new segment of it, creating his own version of the new city car Volkswagen Up!. The car is called Citigo, and sales will start by the end of the year. Dimensions of the Skoda Citigo are very close to those of the Volkswagen Up!, Namely 3563 mm length, 1641 mm width, 1478 mm height and wheelbase is 2420 mm. The car offers place for 4 people and luggage compartment with its volume of 251l., But tearing down the rear seats, it increases to 951l. The compact model will be available initially in three-door version, but next year will appear and five-door. Choice of engines will be even reduced to two three-cylinder petrol engine capacity of 1.0 liters.
The base unit will have capacity 60 h.p. as it will give the car an average fuel consumption of 4.5l/100km. The other will generate 75 h.p. and will offer average fuel consumption of 4.7l/100km.
From Skoda plans to introduce Green Tec versions of both engines, where fuel consumption will be reduced accordingly to 4.2l. and 4.3 liters per 100 kilometers.
