More than a month ago Autoweek reported that prepares Subaru crossover version of its popular Impreza model and behold, that the Japanese company presented the car to the Geneva Salon. Called Impreza XV is based on the standard model, but has its distinctive features, including roof rails, new grille, front bumper and rear spoiler, and additional safety features on all sides of the car including the wheel arches. Subaru Impreza XV is only 1 mm. longer and 3 mm. wider than the hatchback, and the suspension is hard. Car seats are a combination of black and brown trim, but is offered as an option and full black leather interior, standard equipment in the included leather steering wheel, audio system with 10 speakers and even much more extras. Crossover will be offered in Europe with two two-liter boxer engine. They are petrol and diesel, both delivering power 150 h.p., but their maximum torque reached 196 and 350 Nm respectively.

The performance division of American Subaru – SPT (Subaru Performance Tuning) is prepared at least three models for an upcoming exhibition Tuning SEMA 2009, which will be held this week. Currently images are distributed to only part of the special Impreza WRX STI SPT and interior design of Legacy VIP. Still do not know whether the Bulgarian was involved in the creation of conceptual Subaru Legacy VIP. The car is equipped with 2.5-liter turbo engine with a power 265 h.p. and a maximum torque of 350Nm. Drive is transmitted to all four wheels through the Continuous Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, the gearbox is a six-speed manual. Subaru Impreza WRX STI SPT also relies on a 2.5-liter turbo-agregate is boxer and its power was increased from standard 305 h.p. to new increased 315 h.p. at 6 000 rev/min. but its maximum torque of 393 Nm already reached. at 4 000 rev/min. Re-transmission is through six-speed manual transmission and also to the four wheels.

The concept of hybrid hatchback Subaru, which the company revealed details and photos a few weeks ago, was officially presented to journalists on the 41st Tokyo Motor Show. Subaru Hybrid Tourer is equipped with a hybrid drive system, which is the first in the world with boxer engine (2.0-liter). In addition thereto, it also includes two electric motors and a set of lithium-ion batteries. One power unit is a 10-kW located in front of the car, as its function is to generate energy to support systems of the car. The other is a 20kW power and is used to drive the rear landing gear at low speeds, sudden acceleration, climbing the dark slopes and harsh weather conditions. Hybrid Tourer concept of Subaru is equipped with technology for regenerating energy from the brakes, start / stop system, the CVT continuously variable transmission. Drive is transmitted to all four wheels, and opening up doors to further reinforce the extravagant appearance of the car.

Subaru is preparing to introduce a new version of the hot Impreza WRX STI, which is based on the modification A-Line, a characteristic that is equipped with five-speed automatic transmission. Subaru introduced the special edition model Justy, bearing the designation “R”, which will be manufactured only 100 pieces, all designed for the UK. In serial equipment Justy 1.0R includes many additional features, however the price of the “R” is a modification 9 995 British pounds, or only 690 more than the standard version. The car has a spoiler at the rear of the roof, dual exhaust, tonered rear windows, new gear shift, audio system with CD player, air conditioning, four electric windows and remote central locking. From yesterday Subaru is offering to the Japanese market version “spec C” of the Impreza WRX STI, which will be manufactured only 900 pieces, but the official press release does not specify what is the price of the car. Subaru Impreza WRX STI spec C is 70 kilograms in light of the standard model, which is achieved through aluminum front cover, light front and side windows, a smaller battery and replacing the spare wheel with a system for repairing flat tires. The car exhibition in New York, held in April, Subaru introduced the new generation of the Legacy. Its sales in Japan started a few days, along with the company revealed wagon version of the model, which is also available in dealerships in the country. The new Legacy Touring Wagon remains a typical family car, which has become more functional. Designers and designers of Subaru extended rear door to ease access to the luggage compartment and the side columns are shrunken for better visibility of the driver. The car is available in Japan with two 2.5-liter gasoline engine, one is atmospheric and the other – turbo. They have a 170 and capacity 265 h.p. and maximum torque is 230 and 350Nm respectively. Plant is available with 3.6-liter engine generating 356 h.p. The traditional Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon is driving the four wheels, a gearbox according to the modifications may be 6-stage mechanical, automatic or 5-stage version Lineartronic.
