Over the next five years Opel intends to complement its product range with several new models, including compact crossover, mini car, hybrid and electric car. Said Executive Director of Opel, Nick Reilly, in an interview with Auto Motor and Sport. According to Riley, in the next 2-3 years will be released electric car and hybrids, then they will be introduced compact crossover, which will use the platform to the next generation of the Corsa. Opel prepare and alternate model Agila, which is identical with the Suzuki Splash, but after an alliance between the Japanese company, Volkswagen, Opel by were forced to develop a separate model. Within the strategy will occur two mini cars – one will be practical and would be ideological heir of Agila, and the other will be more sporty and luxurious. Opel’s leadership believes that the updating of existing models and introducing new will not only maintain current market share of the company in Europe by 6.5 percent, but will also help to increase it.

Nissan presented the redesigned model of its Qashqai, which will appear at dealers in Europe next spring. Extremely successful compact crossover has been fairly cosmetic changes, gave him more aggressive species, such as by the Japanese company hopes it can be even more attractive to customers. Changes in appearance are at the end of the hood, bumpers, grille and lights, and rear are now LED. Nissan Qashqai and has been optimized suspension, and engines that will be offered remain the same. The upgraded model will have and environmental modification, called the ECO Qashqai, which is equipped with 1.5-liter turbo unit, longer gears and low resistance tires, a lower weight and aerodynamics and optimized.

Honda revealed the price of the new version of its popular Crosstour model Accord, which will be available only in the U.S. market. Car sales will start on 20th November, the price of base modification of 29 will begin at $ 670 and EX performance reaches up to 36 220 in the EX-L. The new version of the Accord is designed to meet the changing needs of U.S. customers are already looking for a cheap, but sure enough crossover. Honda Accord Crosstour will be available only with petrol 3.5-liter V6 i-VTEC engine that has a power 271 h.p. at 6 200 rev/min. but its maximum torque of 344 Nm achieved at 5 000 rev/min. The unit is combined with six-speed manual transmission. In carrying EX model will be available only to drive to the front wheels, while the EX-L enable it to be four. In standard equipment includes a panoramic roof EX, 2-zone air conditioner, audio system with CD player and 7 speakers and 17-inch wheels.

In March this year from Nissan presented its first conceptual model NV2500. It represents a big van. In July the company said that work on the production of the serial version is already underway. Then the car was shot during tests without much of camouflage. The previous spy photos show that the model is a massive commercial trak. There are, and ventilation holes in its rear part. They suggest that there is probably a battery, whereby to charge a hybrid engine. Vice President of Nissan division for production of commercial vehicles, said that “a hybrid or electric car will have a commercial purpose. He mentioned this to say regarding the conceptual model NV2500. Will there be different versions of the new van for Nissan, as the model and Dodge Sprinter. It will be a passenger, freight and can even be used for a school bus.

According to reliable sources edition MotoringFile, BMW’s management has decided to postpone by three months the premiere of the crossover model of Mini, which will be called the Countryman. The car will be produced in the factory at Magna Steyer in Austria and had to make world debut at the exhibition in Detroit in January, but now it appears that it will be shown for the first time the general public in March in Geneva. Not many details are known about the serial Countryman, whose concept we saw at the exhibition in Paris a year ago, but BMW has revealed that the crossover will use an entirely new propulsion system to the four wheels, which differs from the xDrive. According to preliminary data, Mini Countryman will be offered the same set of engines as the Mini Cooper, but is likely to be added and a new 1.6-liter unit with two turbines, which is equipped to the most powerful modification of the model.

Members of the forum daciaclub.ro was able to make pictures of the future SUV model of Dacia. The car has been developed on the platform of the Nissan Qashqai, having not yet clear when it will be placed on the market, but according to some publications that will happen this year. Since the future of the Romanian company SUV that was the first such model in its history, has not received a formal name for the moment it is simply called Dacia SUV. We remind you that the exhibition presented in Geneva Dacia future concept Duster, as subsequently gamble that the it will enter into serial production, but the photos clearly show that the two cars will almost no resemblance.

Nissan plans next year to introduce a convertible version of its popular crossover Murano. Announced that the U.S. version “Inside Line”, referring to own sources in the Japanese company. It is expected initially from the vehicle to produce small pieces a year due to the fact that open SUV models are not the most popular vehicles. Although the picture published by “Inside Line” is a car with four doors, the serial version of the Murano convertible will 2-doors, the roof and convertible will be soft, which will allow the price to be more accessible.
