Renault revealed the concept Zoe Z.E

Renault Zoe ZEFrom Renault announced plans to develop a serial version of one of four electrical concepts that were presented at the exhibition in Frankfurt in September, as sales of the car is scheduled to start in 2012. We remind you that Zoe ZE Concept a small city car, whose dimensions are 4.1 meters length, 1.8 meters wight and 1.5m. height, wheelbase and is 2.6 meters. The model is ideal for urban travel and yet is completely green. The car has an electric motor, whose power reaches 95 h.p. and maximal torque – 226 Nm. And with complete lithium-ion batteries. This combination allows covering the 160 kilometers without recharging and develop a maximum speed of 140 kilometers per hour. Renault also revealed that in the serial version of Zoe ZE will have the option to change the batteries when they are exhausted, the procedure would be extremely simple and takes only 3 minutes.

Hyundai i10 ElectricThe South Korean company Hyundai introduced at Frankfurt complete all-electric version of the i10, which in 2010 will begin to sell in the local market. Hyundai i10 Electric is equipped with 49-kW (65 h.p.) electric motor and the latest generation Li-Polymer Battery 16kWh. Pipsqueak is capable of traveling 160 kilometers per hour without refueling, to accelerate from 0-100km/h for 15sec and a top speed of 130 kilometers per hour. Despite batteries, which are generally quite heavy, electric car has kept her weight around one tonne, thanks to some modifications which are made by Hyundai engineers it. As you probably made an impression, South Koreans have used lithium-polymer batteries that are 40 percent smaller, 30% lighter and 12 percent more efficient than Nickel-Metal Hydride, and on top of a load quickly and withstand much lower temperatures. Batteries can be loaded as a standard household outlet, in which the procedure takes 5 hours and in special high-voltage stations, where 85 percent of the energy is recovered only 15min.

Peugeot ionRegarded as a pioneer and No. 1 producer in the world of electric cars, Peugeot will launch ion at the end of 2010. Its characteristics and autonomy of 130 km, obtained through the use of lithium-ion batteries will meet the challenges related to urban mobility and environmental protection. Ion will be presented for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Peugeot 106, produced between 1995 and 2003, is the best selling car in the world with zero emissions. Given this experience, the brand expects to remain a leader in electric cars. That model is expected to end in 2010. The car developed jointly with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC), is designed for both individuals and legal entities (governments, municipalities, large companies). This is due to nature, making it particularly suitable for use in urban environments. Lithium-ion batteries are rechargeable for 6 hours, but an option to be recharged to 80% for 30 minutes

Volvo with electric car soon

Volvo electric carVolvo completed the development of electric hatchback version of the C30, which will present the exhibition Innovation for Life. This will happen immediately after the car saloon in Frankfurt, reported sources from the company to the British magazine Autocar. Prototype which will present the exhibition will be fully functional, as it will make testing of motor and whole electro-mobile. Since Volvo has not yet reported more detailed information on electric motor, battery traveled miles with a load and more. According to the publication Autocar even not yet decided whether this electro-mobile will be produced in series. The final decision will be taken after the trial period during which the conceptual shift car. If everything goes successfully, the first serial electro-mobiles based on the Volvo C30 will be marketed at the end of 2011 or early 2012. Chevrolet is testing the new Volt
